Parts of speech(part of a sentence)
There are 8 parts of speech.They are -
  • Noun
  • Pronoun
  • Verb
  • Adverb
  • Adjective
  • Preposition
  • Conjunction
  • Interjection
  • Noun-means naming word. Refers to name of any places, person or thing. For example Kolkata, Rabi, book etc.
There are 5 types of noun
  1. Proper 
  2. Common
  3. Collective
  4. Material
  5. Abstract Noun

Proper Noun
Refers to the particular name of a place, person or thing
Ex- Babai, Kolkata etc .It takes capital letter at the beginning.

Common Noun
General name of any place,person or thing
Ex- Gog,cat,bag etc

Material Noun
For example ,iron ,gold etc. Refers to the name thing made of metal.

                              Pronoun
Pronoun is the word which we use in place of Noun. Ex- I , we, you, he , she, ,it, They

                              Verb
Verb is the action word. Ex go, eat,run,come.

                          Adjective
Adjective is nothing but the describing words. It describes a Noun or Pronoun.It describes the quality, quantity, position,natue etc of a Noun or Pronoun.

What is a sentence ? what types of sentences are there ?

There are five moods in which we express our thoughts and feelings or what we want to write or say.Here we are going to discuss five types of sentences which are divided according to the mood.They are - 1.Assertive sentence : It's also known as declarative sentence or statement.we use this sentence for passing general information or fact.some examples are- 1.Ram eats rice. 2.Akbar was the emperor of India.  3.I go to school. 4.The earth movers round the sun,etc. 2.Interrogative sentence This type of sentence is used to ask or enquire about something.It always starts with WH (what, where ,when,how,who),or auxiliary verb(am/is/are/have/has) or do verb (do/did/done/does) or a modal(can/would/could) and ends with a question mark (?)
